The traditional control scheme of slitter is to use a large motor to drive the reel, add magnetic powder clutch to the telescopic reel, and control the resistance of the electromagnetic clutch by adjusting the current to control the tension of the material surface. Electromagnetic clutch and brake is a special automatic actuator. It transfers torque through magnetic powder filled in working gap. By changing magnetic current, the magnetic state of magnetic powder can be changed and the transmission of torque can be adjusted. It can be used for stepless speed regulation from zero to synchronization speed, fine tuning in high speed section and small and medium power speed regulation system. It is also used to adjust the torque by adjusting the current to ensure constant tension in the winding process of uncoiling or rewinding tension control system.


Rewinding unit of magnetic brake slitter is connected with transmission parts and air shaft to control the speed of rewinding by controlling the torque of magnetic powder brake. The magnetic powder brake is selected according to the size of the whole roll material in the unwinding group of the slitter. The commonly used specifications of the magnetic powder brake of the slitter are 12, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 400 Nm. The magnetic powder brake of the slitter mainly provides balanced and stable torque, which can be adjusted by tension controller, so that the efficiency and quality of the unwinding work and the whole operation of the slitter can be improved.


The tension control of the magnetic powder brake is accurate and simple, which can prevent the material from moving in the unwinding group of the slitter. The magnetic powder brake of the slitter adopts DC24V DC voltage, and the natural cooling (air cooling) or the forced cooling of the device fan can be used for heat dissipation. When installing, please keep the magnetic powder brake of the slitter on the horizontal axis and the surrounding environment not too wet, etc.
