Drying section of flexo press using UV or UV/EB flexo inks. These two new flexo inks have replaced the trend of water-based and solvent-based flexo inks. UV or UV/EB flexo ink 100% solid content, these two flexo inks use chemical curing method, almost no physical evaporation, so there is no environmental pollution problem; and because they have non-toxic, instant drying, ink particles It has the advantages of fineness, high concentration and good stability, and has been widely used in Europe and America. The use of UV or UV/EB flexo inks results in corresponding changes in the ink fountain and drying system.
Since UV or UV/EB flexo inks do not require solvent dilution, hot drying ovens and oven-distributed volatile organic compounds (VOCS) post-treatment equipment can be eliminated. Since the ink is not dried by the heating and drying method, the mechanism and the electronic component are not disturbed by the high temperature caused by the heating, and the shrinkage, thermal expansion or warpage of the coil is not caused by the high temperature. Therefore, the printing implementation has been greatly improved. There is information that UV or UV/EB flexo inks are expensive and costly, and their current use is growing at a rate of 10-20%.
